Melissa Kline loves to write, create and laugh. She is a big believer in never giving up on dreams, especially literary ones. She lives to light a creative spark in others.
Melissa caught the novel writing bug at the age of thirteen. Bringing characters to life became a form of escape and comfort during difficult times. She cherished the craft through her twenties until the desire to share her words became overwhelming. After years of trial, error and painful perseverance Melissa’s hobby turned into a career.
Today, her greatest passion is writing books for readers in their teens and early twenties. Melissa also enjoys penning short stories and narrative non-fiction. No matter the genre, love is the central theme in her work.
Melissa has been honored with 5 nationally recognized literary awards including the Next Generation Indie Book Awards and Foreword Book of The Year Awards. As founder of the Rocky Mountain Women Writers and with over 20 years of experience navigating the literary industry, Melissa hosts retreats and classes throughout the Denver area on writing, publishing and everything in-between. She is known for her creative "out-of-the-box" methods, which keeps writer's minds fresh and flowing.
When Melissa's not busy brainstorming or laughing at her own jokes, you can find her at the climbing gym or drinking copious amounts of decaf coffee.
